Finding Gun Blueprints

Some of the best places to get your gun-oiled fingers on some weapon blueprints can be hard to come by. We thought it would be a great idea for us to search for your benefit and offer you some advice about the best places to seek reliable prints while working within a limited budget. As this article is online, it shouldn’t be a problem for you that many of the places we thought were best for blueprints are online so you’ll at least need access to a computer and modem!

A quick check for ‘firearm blueprints’ returns some very positive results from the really famous search engines.

One of the best web sites for the publication of firearms schematics and blueprints is WeaponsCombat. This online site takes pride in its full range of weapons blueprints as well as indisposable advice on how to read the prints and how to go about making the gun for yourself. WeaponsCombat also offers and a skipload of other interesting and useful e-books and articles about guns and tactics.

If you have a good computer, you can probably afford the diskspace and try downloading the blueprints from sites like TorrentReactor which allows you to download in bulk from it and other related bit-torrent sites. However, this might not be the best idea for you if you’re not great with computers as you’ll not be able to inspect the file before downloading and, as with most torrents, you can easily download corrupted files which often destroy your computer.

Alternatively, if you can’t be bothered to wait around for your dinosaur computer to load the large files, you could hit your public reference library and ask them if they have any or if they can run an inter-library loan from a copyright or military library. If you are tired of searching and are ready to pay, you might contact an armory or a weapons manufacturer as they should be able to offer you a fresh or photographed copy for some cash.

Another site you might try is the best which we saved for last, the ‘Aladdin’s Cave’ of weapons blueprints and schematics, the aptly named FirearmsManuals. This site has a live community full of people trading in and selling old and new firearms manuals, blueprints, models and ideas. not to mention a range of options that allow you read print schematics for free and you can even buy sections of rare multi-page documents so you only pay for what you want and not for the entire thing which might include a lot of padding. This site is probably one of the most useful in the genre and although it may be further down in the search lists, it does exactly what its domain name suggests.
